Sado Island Galaxy Art Festival Official Tour: Guided Cruise on Lake Kamo – Discover Nature, Culture, and Cuisine

Tour Overview:

Lake Kamo is the largest lake on the Sea of Japan side, a brackish lake where freshwater and seawater meet. It is renowned for its oyster farming, with numerous floating oyster rafts visible on the lake. Selected as one of Japan’s 100 Scenic Spots, the lake nurtures a rich ecosystem and offers stunning views. Visitors may even catch a glimpse of the Japanese crested ibis, a nationally protected species, if lucky. The view from the water offers a unique and unforgettable perspective, different from what can be seen from the shore. By learning about the history, legends, and daily life connected to Lake Kamo, you will gain a deeper understanding of the local culture.
